Gua Sisik Naga, otherwise known as the Dragon Scale Cave is another cave within Mat’s repertoire. It is one of the more well known and accessible caves.

The gradual seepage of water through the limestone mineral has eroded parts of the ceiling. This resulted in great recurring oval indentations, which resembles the scales of a dragon when viewed from afar.

Gua Sisik Naga is beginner friendly, and only a flashlight and proper attire are required to explore its depths. Along the way, you may encounter porcupine quills, cave racers (a species of snake), and definitely bats. This cave along with Gua Tahi Bintang are prime examples of how nature can produce works of beauty using only natural phenomena and time.
